How do i figure out what makeup will work best with my color palette?

is there some website or article that can tell you?? because i know that not everybody can wear the same makeup colors.How do i figure out what makeup will work best with my color palette?
If there is a certain brand u want 2 use - then get different colours and put them on your hand. As you dont burn easily, this is a very good tip. And if in doubt ask at a counter.

Go to a makeup counter in a department store or a Sephora store, and ask them for advice. They can give you tons of ideas for what colors work best for you.
give a little more info...what color is your hair, and your eyes...and are you olive,tan, ivory, porcelain as far as your skin tone...do you burn easily


EDIT: you can definitely wear anything in the Gold gamily..or bronze..even Brown...i would stay away from the black eyeliner and opt for a brown one instead..you can even put gold liner underneath your lower lash line....for lipstick you can use anything in the red family (make sure its blue based) other wise the yellow based ones will make your teeth appear more yellow
