What color sash should I wear with my type of figure?

I have a thick waist for my height. I'm 5'2'; and my measurements are 34-27-35. I wanted to wear a sash with my wedding dress. Is that advisable or not advisable? If it's ok, what shade of purple should I go for? Dark, bright, pale...?What color sash should I wear with my type of figure?
I would err on the side of no. Having a sash is basically going to cut you in half making you appear stumpy. If you want a colour accent, could you perhaps incorporate that into your flowers either by the flower or by ribbon? What color sash should I wear with my type of figure?
I think the color matters less than the style. Thick wide sash, or skinny sash? When it comes to the color, that matters more with your skin tone than with your waist size. From the measurements you've described, I'd go with a wide sash (no less than three inches) in a dark purple. You might even consider one as wide as an underbust waist cinch. It doesn't have to ';cinch'; necessarily, but it would go from under your bustline to your waist, making you look very thin through the waistline. Of course, if that doesn't match your style of dress, just do the wide with the dark purple.
There is a wedding dress website I came across where you can ';ask the dress expert'; she will be able to answer your question, this site is http://www.blissfulbridesonline.co.uk.

I would say whatever colour you like, but the dress expert might give you a more expert answer from that department.
A sash, any color against a white dress, is going to draw attention to that area of your body. The best thing to do is go to a bridal boutique and have one of the specialists help you. They are the pros.
it depends on your skin tone, not waist size. also, what KIND of sash. thick, skinny, what?
