How to figure out what i need to get on my final in order to pass?

first quarter is worth 39% of my grade


second quarter is also 39% of my grade


this reading assinment is worth 2% of my grade


and my fianl is worth 20% of my final grade.





so first quarter i got a 65% second quarter also a 65% and the reading assignment a 100%. what do i need to get on my final to pass- (a 69.5%, which rounds up to 70%)





can you also write out the problem so i could solve it for all my classes.How to figure out what i need to get on my final in order to pass?
Grade impact from first quarter = 0.39 * 0.65 = 0.2535


Grade impact from second quarter = 0.39 * 0.65 = 0.2535


Grade impact from reading assignment = 0.02


Grade impact from final = 0.20*x





We need all to find a value of x that will make the sum of all these 鈮?0.70 (70%).





0.2535 + 0.2535 + 0.02 + 0.20x 鈮?0.70

Therefore, you need at least86.5% to get a 70% or better. But since you can have a 69.5%, you can also do:





0.2535 + 0.2535 + 0.02 + 0.20x 鈮?0.695

==%26gt; 0.20x 鈮?0.168


==%26gt; x 鈮?0.84





So you would need at least an 84% on your final to get a final grade of 69.5% or higher (passing).
