there is not an accurate rule of thumb due to the normal life expectancy of different breeds. Also maturity levels are different

Example; Cane Corso (Mastiff) 8-9 years. year 1 and 2 are approximately 10 years(20 years Old). 9-2=7

55 more years (human life expectancy of 75) remaining. 55/7=7.85

Your animal is 6. 20+31.5=51.5 years

Italian Greyhound (small breed) 12-15 years

year 1 and 2=20 15-2=13 55/13=4.25

Your animal is 6 20+17=37

As you can see there is a large variance. All depends but is only a reference as to your dogs maturity and activity level.
well every human year is worth 7 dog years. so if your dog is 2 years old in human years, that means he is 14 years old in dog years. typically dogs (and cats) have a life expectancy of about 16 years old. hope i was of some help
opne of our years i seven in dog years. so if your dog is 10 years old, its 70 in dog years yours is 6 so it is 7 x 6 = 42. he is 42 in dog years
easy rule of thumb is 7 dog years to one human so he is 42
It's not as simple as 1 human year equals 7 dogs years. It's also based on their size/weight.
6 x 7= 42 in dog years-this is only an approx figure. ask the vet he will tell you the age of your dog in dog years
Age of a dog in human years is caculated by the following formula:

It is a common belief that 1 human year is equal to 7 dog years. That is not very accurate, since dogs reach adulthood within the first couple of years. The formula used on the website below is from a canine expert and is a bit more accurate. (as accurate as one can judge these things)

The formula is: 10.5 dog years per human year for the first 2 years, then 4 dog years per human year for each year after.

so if a dog is 2 in dog years, he is 21 in human years!

if a dog is 3 in dog years he is 25 in human years!

Keep adding 4 years to the human years for each dog year.
its only the first year the 1=7
Is it not for every human year its 7 in dogs?
It's fun to imagine such a thing, but unfortunately it's a myth. There's no true relation of ';dog years'; to ';human years'; - they're just years, and dogs have a shorter lifespan than humans.

I'm very sorry to burst your bubble, though. :(
For each year of a dogs age,it is 7 times that much in human years.Your pet id 42 years old in human years.
First find out what the life-span of your breed of dog has, and then divide 80 by that :)

How positively meaningless. Your kids want you to multiply 6 x 7, but that's going to be innacurate.
seven dog to one human
human year = 7 dog years
1 year in human years is 7 years in dog years!

so if ur dogs 6 in human years he's

42 in dog years

7*6=42
