Measure the space width, length, and depth. Also measure the opening diagonally. The diagonal measurement will give you an idea of what screen size you should be looking at - but don't forget that some TVs put the speakers on the sides, or have a large base, so you need to make sure that the particular set will still fit, even though the diagonal measurement seems to fit.

For example, our TV has the speakers on the bottom, so the TV is about 4'; taller than just the screen, and the case adds about 1/2'; on the left, top and right sides. So even though the diagonal for the space for our TV was about 70';, we were only able to fit a 60'; TV into that spot because of the extra space for the casing and speakers. How do i figure out how many inches my tv screen is?
You could measure the screen (not the whole TV) from corner to corner diagonally, or it is in the model number (found on the back of the tv) . For example if the model number is something like TBX32R400 or LE32BDRX then the TV is 32';.
don't listen to any guys, as they tend to add a few inches to everything.
To find it's size you measure diagonally.
Measure it diagonally
measure it at a diaganol from like the top left corner to the bottom right corner.
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
